Problem statement

Current reservation system is too tricky for both stakeholders and users. It requires too much of a manual work and efforts to sign-up, with no guarantee for a place in class.

Since it’s such a new experience in Lithuanian market, the lack of functionality is taken very lightly, and with a feeling of excitement to meet the little friends. But as the time goes on, it’s important to stabilize the technicalities that go beyond sales.

Challenges

  • Booking process bottlenecks require too much manual work.
  • Inefficient booking environment, causing friction and cognitive overload.
  • Lack of actual check-out, adding additional steps to user journey, resulting in bounce-off.
  • No way to automatically have coupons, gift cards or receive information about incoming class.

Goals

  • Launch e-shop MVP  as soon as possible to reduce friction between fast-growing businesses and hundreds of people signing up for classes.
  • Iterate with additional functionalities, such as gift coupons, changing information, shop features.
  • Monitor incoming user data to ensure they experience the least amount of errors as possible.

User research

Together with stakeholders, we analyzed order data to segment users into distinct categories. Given the project’s limited time boundaries, it was important to start asking precise and targeted questions to ensure clarity and efficiency in our process.

Research process cannot always look beautiful and “behance worthy”.

Here are 3 things we found out In the end of research process:

  1. In this phase of the market life-cycle users are rather intrinsically motivated, tend to trust the process, and take challenges, highs, and lows pretty well.
  2. Users tend to mix up the Puppy Yoga market brands causing them to purchase classes that are not in their preferred location.
  3. The business originated on Instagram, meaning the majority of incoming users are likely to come from social media rather than organic search. This highlights the importance of effectively qualifying users before purchase.

Competitor analysis

“Puppy Yoga Lietuva” was the first of its kind in the Baltic countries. Over time, more businesses entered the local market causing faster development and the big boom.

Design process

Developing a design system

One of the most important missions in every business journey is not only to be succesfull, but also be organized.

At first it was crucial to find a sweet spot between calmness, focus, meditation and sweet and clumsy fur balls. It was defined by imperfect soft-edged lines, with space for playfulness.
